Gym traffic jam

Okay, I really enjoy going to the gym.  I push paper and dollars for most of my work time.  So after work, I like doing the opposite - namely lift and push stuff using my body.

I’m at the gym 5-6 times a week.  It feels good to de-stress, has decent effects on my body, and I get in a zone and get high off my exertions.

Okay, maybe it’s a case of narcissism as well.  I’m a medium sized guy, about 190 lbs, but I know I lift a decent amount of weight for my size and for being an asian guy.  It looks as well as feels good when I see myself in the mirror squating 8 plates or curling a plate a side.

My local gym that I meet up with V after work many a week night is the Weber GoodLife.  It WAS an Exclusively Women’s but went co-ed and expanded.  It is waaaay too busy in rush hour (after work 5-7 or so).  Parking is insane and sometimes the wait for equipment/weights requires patience.  Want to book a squash court?  Good luck!

(Having said that, it is a decent facility — one complaint:  Please more squat racks and chin up bars)

GoodLife is still promoting the club and trying to sign up more members.  They’re already way too busy at peak hours.  I wonder when people will see that it is too busy and join another gym or some smart competitor opens up shop down the street.  I suppose the one year contract in most memberships locks in that revenue stream for GoodLife.

Sorry, rant mode off.
